Gallery Volunteers

At One For All, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality, contemporary art experiences. We achieve this by creating pop-up exhibitions throughout our community, offering a unique and affordable way to engage with art.

Be Part of the Movement! Together, let's make art accessible for everyone!

Even though we don't have a permanent space yet, we're constantly on the lookout for passionate volunteers to help us transform locations into stunning galleries. Here are a few exciting ways you can get involved:

  • Gallery Sitter volunteers are the friendly faces that keep our gallery doors open and welcoming. This is a relaxed volunteer opportunity perfect for art enthusiasts. You'll spend one day a week opening the gallery, greeting visitors, and sharing your passion for art.

    What you'll do:

    • Open and close the gallery for the day.

    • Engage with visitors, answer questions about the art, and provide information about upcoming exhibits.

    • Share your experience on social media (optional, but encouraged!)

    Benefits:

    • Surround yourself with inspiring art.

    • Meet new people and connect with the community.

    • Gain valuable experience in the arts.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves art and wants to be a part of a vibrant cultural space.

  • Be an Art Behind-the-Scenes Hero!

Gallery Tech Volunteers are the backbone of our exhibitions. They ensure the gallery is polished and ready to showcase stunning artwork.

You'll play a vital role by:

    • Prepping the gallery space: This includes sparkling walls, touching up paint, installing hanging hardware, and ensuring pedestals and furniture are in top condition.

    • Transforming the space: You'll help take down old exhibits and prepare for exciting new ones.

    Commitment:

    • A few days per week, typically before and after each exhibition (roughly every other month).

    • Your dedication is essential for creating a professional, museum-quality experience for our visitors.

    Benefits:

    • Be part of the magic of bringing art to life.

    • Gain valuable experience in gallery installation and maintenance.

    • Work alongside a passionate team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are detail-oriented, enjoy hands-on work, and want to contribute directly to the gallery's success.

  • Artist Liaison Volunteers are the key connectors between our gallery and the talented artists who create our exhibitions.

You'll play a vital role by:

    • Welcoming artists: You'll be the friendly face that greets artists upon arrival at the gallery to collect their work.

    • Facilitating agreements: You'll help artists sign gallery contracts, ensuring a smooth partnership.

    • Returning artwork: After an exhibition, you'll coordinate with artists to securely return their pieces.

    Benefits:

    • Be the first to meet the creative minds behind the art.

    • Gain valuable experience in the art world.

    • Help build strong relationships between artists and the gallery.

This is a perfect opportunity for those who are passionate about art, enjoy meeting new people, and want to contribute to a vibrant artistic community.

Art Education Volunteers

One of the most important aspects about One For All is our Arts Education programming we offer. In order for these programs to be possible at all, we need our volunteers! Here is a list of Arts Ed Volunteers we are currently looking for, but please keep in mind, in order to qualify for these roles you must have (or be willing to obtain) all your childcare clearances through the state.

  • One For All runs a work exchange/mentorship program for emerging artists through our youth Art Ed program. Emerging Artists will learn how to be a professional teaching artist through the guidance of both our Director and Studio Manager. In exchange for volunteering and teaching our youth arts courses, artists get mentorship, professional guidance and the free use of our studio space.

  • One For All is always in need for teaching assistants to help our in our classrooms for our out of school youth programming. The more adults in a room the better, no matter how many students we have. Sometimes our assistants will lead a class, other times they will just help out and guide students to do what needs to be done.

  • Fridays at One For All from 6-9pm parents can drop off their young artists for a movie and art project while they go out on the town for a date night! For this we need adults to volunteer to host the movie night and have fun with our One For All Kids. This will entail simply opening the space, setting up the TV and art project, and then closing up when all the families leave for the night. Having volunteers for this event will allow us to use the revenue from this program for operational costs, which is a huge relief for the organization.

  • One For All is looking forward to sending volunteers to local schools to run free after school arts care for youth and for that we need after school volunteers. These volunteers would be placed at a specific site and would be at the site during after school hours and create fun, individualized project with that group of kids during the school year. This will be an arts accessibility program and hopefully we will be able to run it on a donation based model.

  • One For All needs family friendly folks to run tables and represent One For All at local vending events. Hand out our programming information, run a fun and easy craft project and just have fun! These volunteers help us look for vending opportunities, help us apply to them, and attend the events for us. It is a HUGE help in reaching the public!
