DIY Coloring Books

Join us in this after school art class as we learn how to make our own coloring book pages. First we will learn how to make our own mandalas, then we will make full pattern pages using pencils, ink and paper. When everyone is finished with their black and white line drawings, we will scan them into the computer and design our own coloring book. After the coloring books are printed, you can come by the studio to pick up yours!

Habitat Creations

Join us in this after school class as we learn all about different animal habitats all around the world. After we learn about all the different types of animal habitats, each artist will be given a random stuffed animal and given the task of creating their animals own habitat. We will ask questions like “Where is my animal from?” “Where would my animal live?” “What colors would my animals habitat be?”. Each artist will get a large sheet of paper and we will create our habitats using mixed media materials (paint, paper, markers, and anything else that we may wish to use). At 5:15 we will each take a turn presenting our animal and its habitat to the class. The special bonus is that each artist gets to leave with their animal habitat AND their new animal friend.
